Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution with 2+ years in manufacturing or production
• High School diploma/GED with 4+ years in manufacturing or production
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; prior supervisory experience
• Experience in project leadership, team leadership, supervisory or management
• Self-directed and detail oriented; strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to create, lead and work in a team atmosphere and influence changes with operators and management
• Strong problem solving: identification and resolution of process issues
• Experience applying continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) for safety, quality and cost improvements

Responsibilities

• Promote safe and sustainable working environment and lead incident investigations
• Lead and coach a team; schedule work priorities; coordinate maintenance; allocate work; monitor workflow
• Monitor production rates, yields and quality; drive continuous improvement
• Lead, coach and develop employees; oversee training; participate in hiring processes
• Ensure shift administrative activities (time reporting, attendance, vacations) are properly implemented
• Support plant leadership on cross-functional initiatives and flexible schedules for 24/7 operations
