Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Lead Manufacturing Engineer for the Maneuvers portfolio to guide the manufacturing engineering across vehicle-based and larger integrated ground systems. You will lead a team of 4–5 engineers, setting a strategy for development, prototyping, productionization, and sustainment.

You will partner with design engineering to ensure manufacturability, oversee documentation, and manage vendors.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science.
• 6+ years in manufacturing engineering or similar hardware production roles.
• Experience delivering large mechanical assemblies or complex hardware from development into production.
• Direct team leadership experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Experience taking hardware from prototype through productionization and rate production.

Responsibilities

• Lead, hire, and develop a team of ~4–5 manufacturing engineers for development and production units.
• Own end-to-end manufacturing lifecycle for vehicle-integrated and larger-scale products.
• Set and execute a portfolio-level manufacturing strategy across low-rate and high-volume programs.
• Partner with design engineering to drive Design for Manufacturability and serviceability.
• Own documentation stack for MBOMs, work instructions, and assembly procedures.
• Develop production and test methodologies aligned with program volume profiles.
• Lead sustainment engineering including ECOs and spares provisioning.
• Oversee make-versus-buy decisions and liaise with vendors and internal supply chain.
• Collaborate on capacity planning and floor-space for a mixed-volume portfolio.
• Analyze metrics for cost, quality, and cycle-time improvements.
• Travel to OEMs, partners, and field sites as needed.
