Job summary

Component Products, Inc. in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead and optimize manufacturing processes for safe, reliable, and cost-effective production.

You will guide production teams, standardize methods, document processes, and drive continuous improvement across the facility. The role requires a proactive, hands-on leader who collaborates with New Product Development to ensure products are designed for manufacturability and smoothly transferred into production.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ERP systems, and product transfers.
• Knowledge of DF(M) and DFA principles; strong documentation discipline.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary engineering authority for manufacturing decisions across production.
• Establish standardized manufacturing methods, work instructions, and BOMs.
• Lead and mentor Manufacturing Engineers in process development and documentation.
• Support new product introductions and manufacturability assessments with NPD.
• Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to resolve issues.
• Drive cost objectives through process optimization and tooling choices.
