Viant Medical in Wheeling, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment and processes. You will design, test, and implement improvements, support validations, and resolve production issues with Swiss/CNC, Wire EDM, sinkers, and grinders.

The role emphasizes GMP adherence, CAPAs, process validation, and Lean strategies to reduce waste and costs. Requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering and 5+ years of experience; onsite Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in an engineering role.
• Experience in Medical, Aerospace, Pharmaceuticals or Military manufacturing.
• New Product Introduction experience.
• Machining environment experience (CNC, Swiss, lathes or grinders).

Responsabilités

• Follow GMPs as defined by Viant Medical’s SOPs and policies.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing operations; troubleshoot issues.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement CAPAs.
• Develop and validate manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Support equipment qualifications and process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation (SOPs, work instructions, process specs).
• Drive Lean initiatives to reduce waste and costs; improve efficiency and floor space utilization.
• Collaborate with Quality, Operations, customers, suppliers and teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
