Job summary

Archer, a San Jose-based aerospace company, is scaling production of its all-electric eVTOL aircraft. As a Manufacturing Design Engineer on the MDE team, you will define and scale manufacturing strategies for aircraft structures and support builds from prototype through early production ramp.

You will collaborate with Design, Quality, Supply Chain and Certification to deliver manufacturability, tooling, and process solutions, mentor engineers, and drive ownership across cross-functional teams in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 10+ years in aerospace manufacturing, with assembly and integration experience.
• Proven ability to apply DFM to complex assemblies.
• Experience with CAD/PLM/MES tooling and GD&T interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for structural assembly and integration processes.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle of structural builds with manufacturability and compliance focus.
• Drive tooling strategies and fixture development for prototypes and production.
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions on schedule and quality.
• Coordinate with Design, Quality, and Certification to align materials and processes with objectives.
• Mentor manufacturing engineers and technicians, promoting ownership and best practices.
