Job summary

The Executive Recruiter Group is seeking a Principal Manufacturing & Assembly Engineer to translate designs into reliable, repeatable production. This role focuses on creating robust manufacturing processes for rocket propulsion structures and flight hardware.

Responsibilities include performing structural and thermal FEA, selecting suitable materials, and supporting additive manufacturing design and qualification.

Qualifications

• Experience leading manufacturing and assembly processes in aerospace or defense environments.
• Strong background in design for manufacturability and reliability optimization.
• Proficiency with FEA (structural/thermal) for aerospace components.
• Knowledge of metals, composites, ceramics, insulation, and thermal protection materials.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop rocket propulsion structures, motor cases, nozzles, and flight hardware.
• Perform structural and thermal finite element analysis (FEA).
• Select and qualify metals, composites, ceramics, insulation, and thermal protection materials.
• Support additive manufacturing design and qualification.
• Lead structural failure investigations and corrective actions.
• Support component qualification, static-fire testing, and flight testing.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, test, propulsion, and systems engineering teams.
• Improve structural performance, manufacturability, weight, and reliability.
