Job summary

American Airlines is seeking a Senior Inspection Manager to lead the Inspection Team within the Integrated Operations Division. You will oversee the support of outsource Heavy Maintenance Providers, ensure quality control programs, and drive corrective actions to meet regulatory and internal standards.

The role requires extensive travel, budget management responsibilities, and collaboration with multiple departments to maintain compliance and safety across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 4 years experience in operation and repair of air carrier maintenance programs.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant license or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal, planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the team monitoring compliance with the approved AA Maintenance Program and CFRs.
• Lead the team overseeing work in progress for workmanship and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure vendors initiate corrective actions as needed and audit completed tasks.
• Manage deficiencies of the Heavy Maintenance Provider and coordinate with internal teams.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required; work non-standard weeks when necessary.
• Manage departmental budget within scope of control.
