Job summary

American Airlines is seeking a Supervisor, Inspection Base Maintenance to support outsourced Heavy Maintenance Providers (HMPs). The role requires extensive travel between HMP locations and ensures adherence to the approved AA Maintenance Program and CFRs.

You will supervise QA programs (RII, NDT, major repair reporting, receiving, training, and rejection/buy back), audit tasks against instructions, and report deficiencies to the Sr.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in the operation and repair of Part 121 air carrier maintenance programs
• FAA Airframe and Power plants licenses
• Knowledgeable of NDT/Bore score procedures
• Ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects at the same time

Responsibilities

• Support QA across outsourced MRO providers and monitor compliance with AA Maintenance Program and CFRs
• Audits completed tasks to ensure work matches provided instructions and reports deficiencies to American Airlines Sr. Manager Quality Control
• Coordinates with onsite support teams and builds strong relationships with internal departments at all facilities
• Notifies and assists vendors in initiating corrective actions as needed
• Supervises the administration of QA programs including RII, NDT, major repair reporting, receiving, training, and rejection/buy back

Responsible for supporting the American Airlines outsource Heavy Maintenance Providers (HMPs) and requires extensive travel between all HMP locations. Monitors compliance with the approved AA Maintenance Program and applicable CFRs. Monitors work in progress for workmanship also for compliance with regulatory requirements and American Airlines policies, standards and procedures. Notifies and assists vendors in initiating the appropriate corrective actions as needed. Supervises the proper administration of the American Airlines Quality Control programs including RII, NDT, major repair reporting, receiving, training, and rejection/buy back. Audits completed tasks to ensure physical work accomplished matches the provided instructions. Documents and reports any deficiencies to American Airline Sr. Manager Quality Control. Works directly with other onsite support teams; build strong dependable relationships with other supporting departments both internally and at all of the facilities.
