Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg, VA, is seeking a Lead Mammography Technologist to oversee the MIF, LLC mammography program. The role ensures compliance with MQSA, ACR, ARRT, and state regulators, while supporting the facility's risk management program.

You will lead hiring and evaluations, train technologists, maintain quality control, coordinate equipment maintenance, and liaise with leadership on CQI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• ARRT membership and ARRT(M) registry in Mammography.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR.
• Minimum of four years’ experience with quality control testing procedures.
• Minimum of five years’ experience as an interventional mammographer.
• Working knowledge of ACR and MQSA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversees mammography personnel and assistants and conducts evaluations.
• Trains and onboards new mammography technologists and coordinators.
• Mentors staff and enforces quality standards with remedial training as needed.
• Maintains QC procedures and ensures MQSA/ACR compliance.
• Coordinates maintenance schedules and supports CQI initiatives.
