Job summary

Mercy Health in Springfield seeks a Lead Mammography Technologist to manage daily mammography operations, ensure MQSA compliance, and supervise technologists and students. You will oversee equipment maintenance, accreditation, and quality programs while coordinating breast health education and patient care.

The role requires ARRT certification, 2+ years as a mammography technologist, and ability to lead a team in a fast-paced imaging department. Competitive pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience as a registered mammography technologist (required)
• Two years’ experience as a lead radiologic technologist (preferred)
• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology (required)
• Advanced modality registration in Mammography, ARRT (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support (required at hire for certain Mercy locations)
• State licensure (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mammography operations: scheduling, safety, patient care, equipment maintenance
• Safely perform mammographic procedures and imaging
• Oversee MQSA inspections, ACR accreditation, QC program, and equipment maintenance
• Maintain staffing levels to meet workflow and assist staff technologists
• Supervise Mammography Technologists and students
• Coordinate breast health education and patient education/resources
