Job summary

City of Laredo is seeking an experienced radiologic technologist lead to perform high-quality mammography and diagnostic imaging, including TB-related chest X-rays. The role includes supervising staff, coordinating training, and ensuring MQSA compliance and patient safety in a busy radiology service.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT Mammography certification (or eligibility), and at least four years of radiology experience.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility within 1 year of employment.
• Valid Texas Driver License and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures following imaging protocols.
• Provide supervision and mentoring to radiologic technologists pursuing mammography specialization.
• Coordinate training, QA initiatives, and ensure MQSA compliance.
• Maintain patient safety and accurate imaging records; support accreditation and inspections.
