A leading health organization seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee renovation and maintenance of facilities. The ideal candidate will have substantial supervisory experience in mechanical crafts and ensure compliance with safety regulations. This role involves coordinating projects, inspecting repairs, and managing staff.
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs and performs maintenance activities necessary for the maintenance and renovation of UH Leased and Owned facilities. Supervises various levels of maintenance repairs and oversees shop personnel in maintaining buildings, grounds and various utilities systems and services. Randomly inspects ongoing and completed repairs of mechanical equipment for compliance with building and safety codes throughout the facilities of the University Health. Schedule all projects and complete all paperwork needed for the jobs. Complete all payroll paperwork and PTO request. Have weekly huddles with team. Set up training for all new equipment and in services.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduation from high school/GED or equivalent experience is required. Four years of experience in a Supervisory capacity, with oversight of building and/or mechanical crafts such as plumbing, electricity or engine mechanics is required. The ability to speak, read, and write English, make simple calculations, and follow simple written and oral directions is required. Two years of supervisory experience in a hospital environment with oversight of building and/or mechanical crafts highly preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
A valid Texas State driver’s license “Class C” and must maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
