Job summary

The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort on St. Simons Island, GA, is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to join our engineering and maintenance team. You will diagnose, repair, and coordinate maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related systems in a fast-paced resort setting.

This hands-on role offers growth opportunities through our upcoming renovations, leadership development, and the chance to mentor fellow technicians while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least four years of hands-on maintenance experience in property, building, facilities, or related areas.
Knowledge in two or more technical areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, carpentry, commercial equipment, or pool systems.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical components, lighting, locks, appliances, carpentry, painting, and other building systems within your training.
Perform preventive maintenance throughout guest rooms, public spaces, back-of-house areas, and mechanical rooms.
Organize daily work assignments and adjust priorities based on safety, guest impact, and operational needs.
Coach and support other maintenance technicians in troubleshooting, safe work practices, documentation, and resort standards.
Review completed work and ensure repairs are safe, reliable, and finished to standard.
Respond promptly to leaks, equipment failures, temperature concerns, and other urgent property needs.
Communicate with resort departments regarding repair status and timelines.
Assist with contractor and vendor access and verification of completed work.
Maintain accurate work orders, equipment readings, and preventive maintenance records.
