Job summary

Lake Blackshear Resort & Golf Club is seeking a Chief Engineer for the Lake Blackshear Retreat / Georgia Veterans State Park site in Cordele, GA. The role reports to the General Manager and requires leading the Building Maintenance Techs to ensure safe, reliable facilities and a superior guest experience.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in maintenance/engineering with supervisory experience, strong hands-on skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting, and solid time-management

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Building Maintenance/Engineering in a supervisory role
• Ability to manage at least one subordinate
• Customer service focus with guest-ready mindset
• Proficient hand tools and preventive maintenance knowledge

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests promptly and provide excellent service
• Perform preventive maintenance and lead maintenance techs to complete tasks
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting projects
• Manage third-party contractors and respond to emergencies
• Maintain professional appearance and support General Manager with duties
