Job summary

Evergreen Real Estate Group in Chicago is seeking a Maintenance II technician to maintain building systems, units, and common areas. You will troubleshoot complex issues, guide junior staff, and ensure preventive maintenance and repairs meet standards.

This role supports a safe, clean living environment for residents and staff, performs a variety of repairs, coordinates with vendors, and follows OSHA safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years’ residential/multifamily maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting building systems preferred.
• Pool certification required for properties with pools; trade certs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC and appliance repairs as assigned.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues; escalate complex repairs as needed.
• Ensure make-ready repairs are completed on schedule and to standard.
• Maintain accurate records for all completed work orders and inspections.
• Assist with scheduling or onboarding of new maintenance team members and coordinate with vendors.
