Job summary

Republic Services in Tucson seeks a Recycling Center Lead Maintenance Technician to supervise a team of technicians, ensuring repairs and maintenance meet safety standards and regulations. You will diagnose complex electromechanical problems, perform repairs on recycling equipment, hydraulic systems, balers, conveyors and heavy trucks, and schedule work for the shift.

The role requires strong coaching, adherence to schedules, and collaboration with operations and vendors to keep the facility

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of equipment maintenance and repair experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Working knowledge of Tier 4 emission systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic software and manuals.
• Repair or replace parts per work orders and complete field service reports.
• Overhaul or replace worn machine components.
• Communicate with supervisor and operators to clarify problems and preventive techniques.
• Independently troubleshoot and maintain complex electromechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to standard schedules.
