Job summary

Republic Services in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Lead Technician to direct a team of technicians, ensuring repairs and maintenance meet safety standards and regulations. You will diagnose complex problems, coach juniors, and schedule work to minimize downtime while safeguarding productive shop operations.

Responsibilities include advanced chassis and bodywork, diagnosing faults with electronic tools, and performing welding/fabrication as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as a technician on heavy-duty trucks.
• OSHA Haz Com, Lock Out Tag Out and fire protection regs: a plus.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1–T8) a plus but not required.
• Class B CDL or higher a plus but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Direct technicians to ensure safe, timely repairs and maintenance.
• Diagnose complex issues and plan work with minimal downtime.
• Inspect third-party repair work for safety and compliance.
• Coach technicians on diagnostic techniques and best practices.
• Perform line welding and fabrication as needed.
