Job summary

GPI Management in Houston, TX is seeking a reliable Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance operations, perform essential repairs, and lead a maintenance team to deliver high-quality service.

You will supervise daily work orders across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances, conduct preventative maintenance, manage parts inventory, coordinate with vendors, participate in after-hours on-call rotations, and ensure safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years apartment/building maintenance experience.
• EPA HVAC Type I/II or Universal preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to supervise, train, and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance team in daily operations.
• Complete work orders across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment.
• Ensure grounds and common areas are clean and safe.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and parts.
• Coordinate with vendors for larger repairs or projects.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
