Job summary

UOS is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance operations at our community in Houston. You will lead the maintenance team, ensure timely completion of work orders, and maintain property condition and safety.

The role requires 10+ years in apartment maintenance (lead or supervisory preferred), EPA and CPO certifications, and strong leadership and communication skills. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of apartment maintenance experience (lead or supervisory experience preferred).
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance knowledge required.
• EPA certification required.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred.
• Commercial generator experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support all maintenance and custodial staff.
• Investigate outages and leaks.
• Perform repairs on packaged HVAC units, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and systems including irrigation.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Be a point of contact for outside vendors and contractors.
• Prepare and submit maintenance reports and recommendations.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance.
