Job summary

Pretium Packaging, L.L.C. is seeking an experienced maintenance professional to lead troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems.

You will mentor junior technicians, participate in RCA efforts, and program PLCs and motor controls to keep lines running efficiently. The role requires hands-on expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance, reading schematics, and upgrading equipment within capital projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMIs, sensors, and automated systems.
• Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills including AC/DC, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Proficient with CMMS software.
• Forklift and aerial lift certified.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Effective communicator with ability to document tasks clearly and train others.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Mentor and support lower-tier technicians through on-the-job training and technical guidance.
• Participate in and lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action processes.
• Program and troubleshoot PLC systems, motor controls, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Perform and document preventative and predictive maintenance routines with accuracy and efficiency.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Install, repair, and upgrade machinery and components as part of capital improvement projects or upgrades.
• Assist in developing and improving maintenance SOPs and equipment documentation.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, safety, and company policies during all maintenance activities.
• Support facility infrastructure including HVAC, compressed air systems, boilers, and water treatment systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and external vendors on repairs, upgrades, and retrofits.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.
