A. Stucki Company, parent of Wheelworx, is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to help keep our Calera, AL manufacturing operation running safely and efficiently.

This hands-on leadership role involves troubleshooting complex equipment, guiding maintenance activities, and reducing production downtime. Candidates with strong PLC troubleshooting and industrial electrical experience are especially encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Previous lead or senior technician experience preferred.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and electrical control knowledge.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Safety-focused with lockout/tagout (LOTO) knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities to support production requirements and minimize equipment downtime.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial machinery, production equipment, and automated systems.
• Perform and oversee preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability and extend machinery life.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, electrical controls, sensors, and automated equipment to identify and resolve operational issues.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, prioritize repairs, and coordinate maintenance efforts to restore production efficiently.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and support to other maintenance team members.
• Identify recurring equipment failures, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future issues.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain maintenance records, document repairs, and support preventative maintenance scheduling.
• Monitor maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts to ensure resources are available when needed.
• Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing established procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO).
• Collaborate with production leadership to plan maintenance activities and balance equipment repairs with production schedules.
