Hunter Foundry Machinery Corporation in Bensenville IL is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of production and facility systems. The role demands hands-on leadership and proactive maintenance to maximize uptime and asset reliability.

Responsibilities include guiding a team, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, and coordinating with engineering and safety teams to implement improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• 5–7 years of industrial maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, PLC-controlled equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Experience with casting or heavy industrial machinery is strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead daily maintenance operations, guiding maintenance technicians.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and modifications.
• Maintain maintenance records in the CMMS system.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and safety teams to improve reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety and company policies.
• Train staff on repair techniques, safety, and equipment operation.
• Coordinate vendor and contractor maintenance activities as needed.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
