Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Maintenance Team Lead for a 24/5 manufacturing facility near Franklin Park. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical aptitude, be able to interpret schematics and perform basic PLC troubleshooting. Experience with boilers and HVAC is a plus.

This is a day shift, Mon-Fri role with OT for hours over 40 per week. Responsibilities include leading a team, mentoring tenured maintenance techs and machine operators, and coordinating activities on the manufacturing

Qualifications

Associates Degree or Trade School Certifications preferred.
3+ years maintenance experience in continuous process, high speed manufacturing.
Decent electrical aptitude: interpret schematics and perform basic PLC troubleshooting.
Knowledge/experience with facilities maintenance (boilers and HVAC) preferred.
Experience with Lean Six Sigma, ASQ, Quality ISO/SQF; Continuous Improvement a plus.
Ability to manage moderately complex issues and problems.
Solid working knowledge of maintenance processes in manufacturing.
Exercises sound judgment and decision making; identify problems and develop solutions.

Responsibilities

Coordinate or assist with the activities of team members.
Comply with all Safety, Operational and Employment policies and practices.
Ensure team is following protocols pertaining to safety, quality, production, documentation, reports, good manufacturing practices, 5S compliance and cleaning procedures.
Seek opportunities to improve established manufacturing practices and anticipate inefficiencies, and bring constructive solutions.
Understand machine requirements for effective and efficient operations; understand defects to assist in rectifying issues.
Train and mentor employees.
Support activities including analysis of departmental costs, investigation of significant variances, corrective actions and communication of actions taken.
