Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve manufacturing equipment in a plastics environment.

You will diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues and support reliable production. You will work with Production and Engineering, perform preventive maintenance, document activities, follow safety procedures, and participate in continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree/certificate/apprenticeship preferred.
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, plastics environment preferred.
• Experience with thermoforming, extrusion, conveyors, or material handling is a plus.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings; PLC knowledge advantageous.
• Strong diagnostic and hands-on repair skills; team player with communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-related issues.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance per schedules.
• Respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime and losses.
• Read schematics and manuals to identify problems and implement fixes.
• Assist with equipment installation, startup, modification, and commissioning.
• Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage.
• Follow safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and SQF/ISO requirements.
