Job summary

Bryten at Valore at the Baxter in Lexington, KY is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician Lead to support our community’s maintenance operations. You will perform repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, drywall and painting, ensuring safety and quality for residents and guests.

You will assist with apartment make-ready, coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor, inspect systems, document work orders, and participate in on-call after hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or vocational training required.
• 1+ years of maintenance experience preferred in apartments, buildings, or facilities.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, drywall and painting.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance service requests promptly and professionally (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, drywall, painting).
• Assist with apartment make-ready and prepare vacant homes for occupancy.
• Support the Maintenance Supervisor with daily operations, prioritizing work orders and coordinating the team.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other building systems.
• Inspect homes, common areas, systems, and grounds for safety and maintenance needs.
• Assist with groundskeeping and maintain community appearance.
• Maintain accurate work order records and documentation.
• Support vendors and onsite teams to ensure safe, efficient project completion.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
