Job summary

Hawthorne Residential Partners seeks a Maintenance Technician III to handle complex work orders, mentor junior technicians, and lead preventative maintenance efforts. HVAC certification and experience in electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair are required, along with strong leadership skills.

You will maintain apartment communities, assist with pool upkeep, and ensure safety standards are followed. This role includes on-call shifts and opportunities for growth within the company’s career

Qualifications

• High school or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in apartment maintenance or a skilled trade (HVAC, plumbing, electrical). Supervisory or lead tech experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License; EPA/HVAC Certification; CPO Certification.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform maintenance and repairs to a high standard.
• Ensure all service requests meet Hawthorne standards.
• Repair and restore vacant apartments to make-ready status.
• Assist with pool maintenance and cleaning.
• Complete preventative maintenance per company policy.
• Perform daily building and common area upkeep; maintain shop and inventory.
• Provide leadership, training, and mentoring to the maintenance team.
• Engage residents and coworkers professionally; participate in on-call rotation.
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines and complete special projects as needed.
