Job summary

You will diagnose breakdowns, communicate repair estimates, and train staff on shift handovers. The position requires hands-on work on the kill floor with various metalworking tools; applicants should have a related certificate or two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Candidate must be able to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Must be able to speak effectively before groups of employees.

Responsibilities

• Organizes a maintenance team and assigns repair tasks from supervisor orders.
• Ensures safety and GMP compliance.
• Communicates equipment breakdowns and estimates repair times to production/QA.
• Audits workmanship to ensure standards.
• Trains and informs incoming staff about status of breakdowns and repairs.
• Dismantles devices to access parts and replaces defective components.
• Operates lathe, drill press, grinder, saws, and other metalworking tools to fabricate parts.
