Compass Group USA, ESFM division, is seeking a Maintenance Technician in San Jose, CA. The role involves skilled maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems, leadership on projects, and ensuring safety and quality across facilities.

Requirements include four years of vocational schooling, five years of institutional maintenance experience, and two years as a licensed Journeyman. A valid driver’s license is required. Competitive hourly pay and full benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.

Responsibilities

• Assists in decisions on normal and complex repairs; reports major problems to supervisor.
• Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems.
• Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs or diagnoses HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems and related equipment.
• Supervises and leads a group of workers on a project.
• Reads, comprehends and transmits complex instructions verbally and in writing.
• Teaches advanced maintenance skills to other department members.
• Reviews work of outside vendors; creates punch lists.
• Repairs discrepancies as assigned and analyzes complex building system problems.
• Maintains logs, performs rounds and completes work orders, tests and inspections.
