Job summary

Valley Hope Norton is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician II to join our dedicated team in Norton, KS. Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 4:00PM, on-site.

As a key member of the maintenance team, you will perform diversified duties to install and maintain building/plant equipment, manage safety checks, and support capital projects.

Qualifications

• One (1) year experience as a maintenance technician including mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting and routine facility maintenance.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• CPR certification; or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain building/plant and equipment.
• Provides emergency/unscheduled trouble shooting and repairs of building/plant equipment.
• Performs scheduled maintenance and repairs on building/plant equipment.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Performs a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Remodels/maintenance of patient rooms, office space and common areas as directed.
• Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Maintains records of electrical equipment including maintenance data and safety incidents.
• Assists facility leadership in safety checks of fire and environment of care safety equipment.
• Transports patients as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensures all paints and other flammable materials are stored in accordance with regulations.
• Maintains facility vehicles and tools in safe condition.
• Prioritizes and reviews work of maintenance team personnel.
• Trains and provides work direction to maintenance team personnel.
