Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Four year technical degree or 5–8 years relevant experience (or similar combination).
• Vocational/ trade school in electro-mechanical courses desired.
• Ability to read precision instruments like micrometers and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair plant equipment with supervision using schematics and manuals.
• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical and electrical problems; apply preventative maintenance strategies.
• Identify faulty parts and generate requisitions for spares.
• Maintain stores and follow withdrawal/return procedures.
• Read schematics/prints and rebuild mechanical devices.
• Must be able to weld and perform basic plumbing.
• Understand 3-phase electrical systems with hand tools.
