Job summary

Purdue University Northwest is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to join the Westville campus team. The role focuses on maintaining the building envelope and all systems, operating the central heating and cooling plant, and supervising staff as needed.

Occasional travel to other PNW locations is required. Benefits include comprehensive coverage and paid time off; duties include prioritizing work orders, supervising staff, and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

• General maintenance of buildings, troubleshooting of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Maintain, repair and replace building system components (e.g. HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems).
• Troubleshooting and repair of building energy systems and controls.

Responsibilities

• Operate the central heating and cooling plant.
• Assist in operation of the central heating and cooling plant.
• Functional supervision and work order assignments for maintenance staff.
• Provide backup for Maintenance Manager in their absence.
• Respond to emergency call outs as needed.
