Job summary

GSF Properties Inc. in Hanford, California is seeking a Maintenance Technician Lead to oversee daily maintenance, repairs, and preventative programs for apartments and common areas.

You will mentor the maintenance and grounds teams, coordinate with vendors, and ensure safety and high resident satisfaction. The role requires 5+ years in apartment maintenance, previous lead or supervisory experience, and a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule with an on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of apartment maintenance experience.
• Current role for at least one year in good standing.
• Previous lead or supervisory maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of apartment community operations and property management maintenance practices.
• Technologically proficient with maintenance software and mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting for apartment homes, common areas, and building systems.
• Complete resident service requests in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner.
• Execute preventative maintenance programs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of the community.
• Coordinate and assist with apartment turns, including inspections, repairs, and unit readiness.
• Support daily maintenance operations and help prioritize work orders and team assignments.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality work and timely completion.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
• Assist with inventory management, purchasing, and maintaining maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Train, mentor, and provide guidance to maintenance technicians and grounds team members.
• Lead by example, promoting teamwork, accountability, safety, and exceptional resident service.
• Assist the Community Manager and Regional Supervisor with operational needs, property projects, inspections, and special initiatives as needed.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve property appearance, efficiency, and overall operations.
