GSF Properties Inc. in Hanford, California is seeking a Maintenance Technician Lead to oversee daily maintenance operations and lead the maintenance and grounds teams.

You will manage repairs, preventative maintenance, apartment turns, and resident service requests, while supporting vendor coordination and property operations. The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance diagnostics, safety compliance, and strong customer service with a Monday–Friday schedule and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of apartment maintenance experience.
• Must have been in your current role for at least one year and be in good standing.
• Previous lead, senior technician, or supervisory maintenance experience preferred.
• Technologically proficient with maintenance software, mobile devices, and web-based applications.
• Extensive hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, appliance repair, and general maintenance.
• Experience completing apartment turns (make-readies), preventative maintenance, building inspections, and resident service requests.
• Ability to coordinate vendors, oversee projects, and support daily maintenance operations.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety procedures, OSHA standards, and maintenance best practices.
• Excellent customer service, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting for apartment homes, common areas, and building systems.
• Complete resident service requests in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner.
• Execute preventative maintenance programs to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of the community.
• Coordinate and assist with apartment turns, including inspections, repairs, and unit readiness.
• Support daily maintenance operations and help prioritize work orders and team assignments.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality work and timely completion of projects.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
• Assist with inventory management, purchasing, and maintaining maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Train, mentor, and provide guidance to maintenance technicians and grounds team members.
• Lead by example, promoting teamwork, accountability, safety, and exceptional resident service.
• Assist the Community Manager and Regional Supervisor with operational needs, property projects, inspections, and special initiatives as needed.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve property appearance, efficiency, and overall operations.

If so, GSF Properties Inc. is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician Lead to join our team in Hanford, California.

As a Maintenance Lead, you will oversee daily maintenance operations, including repairs, preventative maintenance, apartment turns, and resident service requests. You will support vendor coordination, assist with property operations, and help train, mentor, and lead the maintenance and grounds teams while ensuring a high-quality resident experience.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: 25.00-28.00 per hour, plus benefits (based on experience)
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Participation in an on-call rotation as needed

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

Job Requirements - Maintenance Technician Lead

• Minimum of 5 years of apartment maintenance experience required.

• Availability to work a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours per week).
