Job summary
MAC Incorporated is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician for its Lakeland, FL plant. The role leads a maintenance team on the 3rd shift, focusing on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment reliability in a fast-paced food and beverage environment.
The position requires 3–5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, strong SAP skills, and leadership ability to mentor mechanics and electricians. Overtime and shift flexibility are expected.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required for entry.
- 3–5+ years of industrial maintenance/line maintenance experience in food & beverage manufacturing preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with high-speed production/packaging equipment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
- Experience leading or mentoring maintenance staff is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily leadership and technical support to Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical production equipment.
- Coordinate response to production equipment failures and minimize downtime.
- Perform and support preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Review daily PM schedules and ensure completion of required maintenance work.
- Assist with scheduling maintenance personnel to support production needs.
- Train maintenance personnel on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
- Maintain and support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program and safety practices.
- Ensure spare parts are available for critical equipment.
