Job summary

SugarCreek Packing Co. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for 2nd and 3rd shifts in Ohio to lead routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment.

You will mentor technicians, coordinate maintenance schedules with Plant Management, and ensure safe operation of machinery across the site. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and participate in root cause analyses to minimize downtime while maintaining safety and sanitation

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED or equivalent; vocational training or associates with an electro-mechanical focus preferred.
• 3+ years in maintenance with automated equipment; 3+ years with electrical/electronic responsibilities; 3+ years in a food manufacturing setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting and corrective maintenance, be the first escalation for junior technicians.
• Dismantle and rebuild machinery to access defective parts using hoists, cranes, and tools.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance: inspect drives, motors, belts, fluids, filters.
• Lead PdM program, verify findings, track performance changes, provide trend reports.
• Use prints, wiring diagrams, and catalogs as needed.
• Repair machines and structures using hammers, hoists, drills, wrenches, and testing devices.
• Troubleshoot relay logic and safety devices; maintain control panels and sensors.
• Mentor junior technicians and provide safety trainings.
• Review and complete work orders promptly; follow LOTO procedures.
• Maintain relationships with departments and Plant Management; communicate maintenance issues.
• Complete daily shift reports; pursue continued education in multi-craft skills.
• Participate in root cause analyses; comply with policies and safety programs.
• Support safety, food quality, sanitation initiatives; follow SugarCreek safety rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
