Pay: Based on Experience
Works to supply products and services that meet or exceed customer expectations. Follows documented quality systems and processes that are continually being improved to satisfy customer needs.
Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment to diagnose malfunctions and determine the need for adjustment or repair. Assembles and tests machine operation to verify correction of malfunctions.
Studies blueprints, sketches, machine parts, or specifications to determine the best means to maintain all equipment in all buildings.
Dismantles machines or equipment using hand tools or power tools to examine parts for defects or to remove defective parts.
Uses tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices.
Assembles, installs, or repairs wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
Installs electrical or electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.
May weld parts using arc or gas welding equipment.
Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and building conditions are maintained. Coordinates time with supervisors to complete tasks.
Communicates with internal departments, outside vendors, manufacturers, and sales representatives for parts procurement and repairs.
Uses Maintenance Pro software to process requests, schedule routine maintenance, and log production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
Assists Production Manager or other Supervisors with duties or special projects as needed.
This position requires a technical certification in electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulics from a technical college or program, with 1-2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with 480-volt 3-phase circuits, overhead cranes, forklifts, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is strongly preferred.
