To assist the General Manager in the functioning of the hotel. Performs repairs and preventative maintenance work to ensure the hotel maintenance quality standards are achieved and maintained. Provides excellent guest service in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner, following LBA standards of friendly hospitality while adhering to guidelines and procedures.
Pre-requisites
Maintenance associates have access to guestrooms and property. Character traits of honesty and trustworthiness are essential; therefore, maintenance associates must pass the appropriate security clearance, per company policy.
- Working knowledge of preventative maintenance, electricity, AC, and plumbing
- Two years as a maintenance technician or similar position
- HVAC and Pool Certification helpful
Summary of Essential Job Functions
The essential function of the Lead Maintenance Technician is to ensure all mechanical areas of the hotel operate correctly within preventative and budgetary guidelines set by LBA.
Must be able to perform major life activities: standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating.
Specific Requirements
- Must be able to push or pull 100 pounds and lift/carry 60 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, reach, climb ladders, crawl, kneel, and work low to the ground, sometimes for extended periods.
- Must speak and read English; knowledge of another language may be helpful.
- Must be able to see and hear.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Must display professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness at all times.

- Methods, practices, tools, equipment, and materials used in various building and mechanical trades.
- Occupational hazards and safety precautions related to power tools and equipment.
- Repairs and maintenance of furniture and fixtures within the hotel.
- Safety and security measures; report or correct hazards immediately.
- Guidelines for maintenance training checklists.
- Emergency procedures (Person In Charge).

- Supervise, perform, and document preventative maintenance according to company standards.
