Job summary

Tipton Asset Group, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Houston, TX to maintain the overall appearance of the apartment complex and ensure resident satisfaction.

You will handle day-to-day maintenance operations and respond to emergencies, while performing grounds work and various trades as needed. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least three years of experience with HVAC certification, and owning your own tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least three years of maintenance experience and HVAC certification.
• Provide and use own tools for daily tasks.
• Must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents and staff.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day maintenance and general upkeep of the apartment community.
• Be on-call for 24-hour maintenance emergencies.
• Assist with grounds work (trash collection and light landscaping).
• Assist with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and preventative maintenance.

What do we need you to do? Maintain the overall maintenance and appearance of the apartment complex for current and prospective residents.

The Job: Our maintenance professionals are an integral part of keeping our residents satisfied and are responsible for day-to-day maintenance operations and general upkeep of the community. Specific responsibilities include:

• Being on-call for 24-hour maintenance emergencies
• Completing grounds work such as: trash pick-up and light landscaping
• Assisting with various types of maintenance: Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and preventative.

The Details: Our Maintenance Technicians should meet the following criteria:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Have at least three years of experience and HVAC certification
• Provide/use of own tools
• Must be able to maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors and maintenance staff
• Possess basic knowledge of the following: HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
