Maintenance Engineer

Job Overview:

As a Maintenance Engineer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. Your primary responsibility is to perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting, to maintain a safe, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing environment for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Preventative Maintenance:

o Conduct regular inspections of all hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.

o Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing repairs, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and HVAC system maintenance.

o Implement a preventative maintenance schedule to minimize breakdowns and equipment failures.

Repair and Troubleshooting:

o Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.

o Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, including HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, electrical components, and other mechanical systems.

o Troubleshoot issues with building systems and identify potential problems before they escalate.

Safety and Compliance:

o Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including OSHA standards.

o Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards promptly.

o Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

Guest Satisfaction:

o Interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner.

o Resolve guest complaints and concerns related to maintenance issues in a timely and effective manner.

o Contribute to a positive guest experience by ensuring a well-maintained and comfortable environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant trade certifications or licenses (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical) preferred.
