Lead Maintenance Technician

Location: Burlington, WA | Industry: Advanced Manufacturing | Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite

A leading North American solar manufacturer is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to support high-efficiency production operations in a fast-paced, automated facility. This hands-on leadership role will oversee a team of technicians and ensure smooth execution of preventative and corrective maintenance across complex electromechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of ~7 maintenance technicians on shift, ensuring alignment with production and quality goals
• Coordinate with shift leadership and cross-functional teams to minimize equipment downtime
• Ensure proper use of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and monitor preventive maintenance completion rates
• Troubleshoot and repair advanced manufacturing systems, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components
• Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, PLC logic, and instrumentation to restore equipment functionality
• Execute machine installations, retrofits, and relocation projects
• Enforce safety standards including Lockout/Tagout procedures and compliance with OSHA regulations
• Maintain parts inventory and contribute to the development of maintenance best practices
• Support documentation and updates for electrical circuit changes and equipment logs
• Lead or assist with small capital or safety improvement projects

Qualifications

Required:

• 6+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• 2+ years of leadership or team lead experience in a maintenance or technical setting
• Advanced knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance, including PLCs (Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff TwinCAT), motors, relays, sensors, and HMIs
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and contribute to a 24/7 operational environment
• Strong interpersonal, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Preferred:

• Technical trade certification or diploma in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or similar
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
• Hourly Rate: $32–$45 DOE
