Overview:
We're looking for an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to help keep our plant running smoothly. In this role, you'll be hands-on with machines, equipment, and facility systems—making sure everything is operating safely and efficiently. You'll be a go-to person for troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance, playing a big part in keeping production on track and downtime to a minimum.
This role is more than just fixing machines—it's about being part of a team that keeps everything moving. If you're a hands-on problem solver with a strong mechanical background and a safety-first mindset, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Functions of the Lead Maintenance Technician:
- Keep equipment running, focusing on preventative maintenance
- Install new equipment and make sure it's set up correctly, including running utilities like power and air.
- Use schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manuals to diagnose and fix equipment issues.
- Inspect machines regularly and take care of tasks like cleaning, lubricating, and calibrating to prevent problems before they start.
- Repair or replace broken parts—motors, belts, gears, sensors, etc.—and keep things running smoothly.
- Troubleshoot and fix problems by jumping in quickly when equipment breaks down and help get production back on track.
- Tackle complex problems, figure out root causes, and come up with smart, efficient fixes.
- Work closely with other maintenance team members to solve issues and share what you’ve learned.
- Help build and follow a scheduled maintenance program to keep machines in top shape.
- Log repairs, inspections, and part replacements so we have a clear maintenance history.
- Close out work orders and follow maintenance processes from start to finish.
- Maintain key systems in the plant—lighting, HVAC, plumbing, etc.
- Fix issues around the facility that could impact safety, comfort, or productivity.
- Always follow safety rules and procedures while working on equipment.
- Watch out for safety hazards and report them right away.
- Take part in safety training and help build a strong safety culture.
- Partner with production and engineering teams to understand equipment needs and fix issues fast.
- Keep supervisors and teammates in the loop about repairs and equipment status.
- Help fellow techs troubleshoot and learn from each other.
- Look for ways to make equipment run better, faster, and longer.
- Offer suggestions for upgrades and process improvements that benefit the whole plant.
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent (tech/vocational training is a big plus).
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Solid electrical knowledge—up to 480V—and familiarity with state and national codes.
- Comfortable reading schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
- Experience fabricating parts with tools like lathes, mills, and basic welding.
- Skilled in troubleshooting with multimeters—able to diagnose relays, motors, fuses, shorts/grounds, etc.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
