Job summary

Hydranautics, part of the Nitto Group, seeks a Maintenance Technician III/Lead for on-site, California-based maintenance of automation and electrical systems. You will lead troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and upgrades of PLC-controlled equipment, with responsibility for safety and quality across shifts.

The role requires advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, plus the ability to interpret schematics and train others.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required or equivalent; 5 years in an automation environment.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic processes and repair methods.
• Must understand PLC ladder logic and text-based logic programs for manufacturing equipment.
• Reading electrical/mechanical drawings, schematics and blueprints is essential.
• Ability to train others and manage multiple work orders to minimize downtime.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Checks machine operation and troubleshoots electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and automation problems.
• Performs complex preventive and predictive maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Troubleshoots controls on manufacturing equipment and rebuilds or repairs as needed.
• Diagnoses and resolves PLC issues with robots using ladder logic and text-based logic programs.
• Modifies equipment to meet new requirements with engineering support.
• Maintains safety regulations and follows OSHA/Cal OSHA standards.
