Job summary

Amurcon Realty Company is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Superintendent to support the maintenance of the physical plant at Quarter Mill, Richmond, VA. You will assist in all maintenance projects, manage records, order parts, and ensure timely repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and grounds.

This role demands physical stamina, flexibility for nights and weekends, and the ability to train staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and use safety equipment.
• Willingness to train on company computer software.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties assigned; be dependable, flexible and a team player.
• Problem solve with the Maintenance Superintendent; participate in projects.
• Maintain records for preventive maintenance, work orders and inventory.
• Order parts approved by Maintenance Superintendent and Property Manager.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on all equipment per manufacturers’ manuals.
• Assist in maintaining a safe work environment and perform light electrical/plumbing tasks.
• Repair HVAC systems, be able to perform temperature-related tasks and basic repairs.
• Maintain curb appeal and perform grounds maintenance as needed.
• Assist in checking in/out residents and ensure a clean, well-maintained community.
• Respond to emergency situations on the property during off-hours; standby schedule.
