Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Kensington community in Charlotte, NC. You will perform technical and mechanical work to keep buildings, grounds, and amenities clean, safe, and functional, handling work orders from residents and completing the make-ready process for vacant units.

You'll inspect work, coordinate with vendors, maintain tools and inventory, and support budget and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or related experience.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Own hand tools unless prohibited by State law; safe use of tools and equipment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with residents and team members.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively; basic computer skills and database use.

Responsibilities

• Assist with work orders from residents and routine site upkeep.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units and move-ins; inspect and schedule vendors as needed.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors and common areas.
• Inspect work by others and contractors for quality and compliance with policies.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance materials and assist in budget planning and cost control.
