Job summary

ONYX Multifamily Group in San Marcos, Texas is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance to support the maintenance operations at Ranch at 1856, our multifamily community in San Marcos. This on-site, full-time role requires hands-on maintenance leadership to keep the property safe, efficient and inviting for residents.

You will supervise technicians, coordinate tasks, handle preventive maintenance, respond to emergencies, and work closely with the Property Manager to maintain building, grounds,

Qualifications

• Experience in Lead Maintenance, Apartment Maintenance or Property Maintenance.
• Ability to supervise, train and support maintenance technicians.
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance, including basic plumbing and electrical.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train and support maintenance technicians
• Delegate maintenance tasks and prioritize work orders and resources
• Perform and oversee general maintenance and repairs throughout the property
• Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general maintenance issues
• Monitor maintenance requests and ensure work orders are completed efficiently
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, parts, tools and equipment
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and participate in on-call rotation
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
• Maintain condition of buildings, common areas, and grounds
• Identify maintenance concerns and address issues before they become problems
• Follow safety procedures and maintain documentation
• Communicate maintenance concerns to the Property Manager
• Support onsite team in providing professional service to residents
