Job summary

Maricopa County's Facilities Management Department is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations across regional centers and manage a team of skilled technicians. You will schedule work orders, supervise preventive maintenance, and ensure safety standards are met while delivering efficient, cost-conscious facility care.

Responsibilities include planning, coordinating trades work, monitoring performance, and providing strong leadership to ensure projects are completed safely

Qualifications

• Five years of journey-level trades experience with building/facility repair and maintenance.
• Two or more years of lead or supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or GED; valid driver’s license required by hire.
• PREA background check and TOC certification may be required for access to detention facilities.
• Completion of a recognized trades program is valued.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage building repair, operations, and preventive maintenance across multiple regional centers.
• Generate, prioritize, schedule, and assign work orders for trade staff and monitor progress in the field.
• Improve operations, reduce costs, and extend asset life while ensuring safe work practices.
• Provide leadership, set performance goals, and guide staff with ongoing training and development.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to county employees and other contacts.
