Job summary

You will supervise technicians and contractors, troubleshoot electrical and automation systems, and drive reliability improvements across equipment such as baggers, weighers, conveyors, and palletizers.

The role demands hands-on leadership, strong knowledge of CMMS and SAP, and a commitment to GMP, food safety, and safety standards in a high-speed production environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in food manufacturing or high-speed environments.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or lead experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with high-speed packaging equipment and automation.
• Experience with electrical systems, motors, controls, sensors, VFDs, and PLCs; Allen-Bradley preferred.
• Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance technicians and contractors; coach and develop staff.
• Monitor system information, report abnormalities, coordinate downtime windows.
• Prioritize and assign work orders; ensure maintenance standards are met.
• Ensure safe operation of packaging lines (baggers, weighers, conveyors, sealers).
• Troubleshoot PLC-based systems, HMI interfaces, motors, sensors, and VFDs.
• Support preventive maintenance, inventory management, and cost control.
• Utilize CMMS for trend analysis and corrective actions.
• Hire/train personnel and promote safety-first culture.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.
