Job summary

AC Corp, a Crete United company, is seeking a working supervisor to assist the maintenance department and lead shop operations. The role focuses on proactive safety in the fabrication shop, equipment setup, and staff supervision.

You will oversee training, performance feedback, and continuous improvement of processes while ensuring documentation and safety compliance. The position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Minimum 2–5 years of related supervisory experience in a shop setting.
High school diploma or GED required; advanced welding/metal fabrication education preferred.
Experience in metal fabrication and machining environments.
Ability to set up, operate, and maintain fabrication equipment.
Forklift certification and pneumatic/hydraulic troubleshooting experience a plus.
Automotive repair experience is a plus; can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

Ensure assigned work areas operate with pro-active safety practices per OSHA and company guidelines.
Understand setup and operation of all fabrication shop equipment.
Inspect equipment and report defects for corrective action.
Evaluate processes, improve production methods, and optimize equipment and personnel use.
Provide coaching and performance feedback to shop staff and conduct reviews.
Ensure training on all equipment with EHS coordination to keep certifications current.
