Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Supervisor for 2nd shift (3 pm–12 am) to direct daily maintenance activities and mentor team members. You will implement preventive and predictive maintenance, lead root-cause analysis, and ensure adherence to GMP and safety standards.

The role requires 5+ years in maintenance with leadership experience, plus a undergraduate degree or equivalent. SAP and MS Office proficiency are expected, with union environment experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree (or equivalent combination of experience and education).
• 5 years of maintenance or related experience with demonstrated leadership aptitude.
• 2 years of team lead or supervisory experience.
• Union environment experience preferred.
• Electrical, welding, boiler, refrigeration, or plumbing licenses or certificates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and supervision to maintenance staff to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Schedule and prioritize daily jobs, assign work orders, and monitor progress.
• Implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
• Utilize SAP and other systems to plan tasks, parts, and descriptions.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and oversee plant equipment repairs.
• Develop procedures and policies for the maintenance department.
• Maintain records using databases and CMMS; support root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate with inventory to ensure spare parts availability.
• Lead staff training on new equipment and safety best practices.
• Adhere to GMP, regulatory, and food safety requirements.
