Job summary

Erickson Senior Living seeks a Senior Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot and repair apartments and common areas. You will train staff on maintenance techniques and oversee neighborhood conditions to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents.

You will perform HVAC maintenance, preventive procedures, and respond to emergencies; lead a neighborhood team to maintain high standards across the community.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in residential apartment, construction, or commercial building maintenance.
• Must have working knowledge of residential building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances; HVAC knowledge required.
• Willingness to work scheduled and on-call overtime as necessary.
• Ability to lift/move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Must possess EPA certification to handle refrigerants.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HVAC equipment as assigned.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance per manufacturer recommendations.
• Respond to emergency calls for system/equipment failure.
• Serve as lead mechanic in assigned area and manage neighborhood condition.
